Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger (born July 30, 1947) is an Austrian and American actor and film producer businessman, retired bodybuilder professional and politician who was the 38th governor of California between 2003 and 2011. Time magazine named Schwarzenegger one of the 100 most influential individuals throughout the world between 2004 and 2007. Schwarzenegger started lifting weights at the age of 15 and was able to claim the Mr. Universe title at age 20 and subsequently won the Mr. Olympia title seven times. It is widely believed to be among the most influential bodybuilders of all time. He also wrote numerous articles and books about bodybuilding. The Arnold Sports Festival, considered the second most important event in bodybuilding following Mr. Olympia, is named in honor of him.He was featured in the bodybuilding documentary Pumping Iron (1977). Schwarzenegger, who resigned from bodybuilding, became a Hollywood action actor with Conan the Barbarian (1982) that was an instant box office success and it was a sequel in 1984. After he portrayed the lead character in the science fiction film The Terminator (1984), he starred in the sequels Terminator 2: Judgment Day (1991), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003), Terminator Genisys (2015), as well as Terminator: Dark Fate (2019). Commando (1985), The Running Man( 1987), Predator (1987), Red Heat (88), Total Recall (1990), True Lies (1994), Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines (2003) as well as Terminator Genisys (2015) and Terminator Dark Fate (2019). The actor also produced a number of comedy films, including Twins (1988), Kindergarten Cop (1990), Junior and Jingle All the Way (1996). Oak Productions, a film production company, was created by him.
