Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger (born July 30, 1947) is an Austrian and American actor as well as film producer, businessman, former bodybuilder professional and politician who served as the 38th governor of California between 2003 and 2011. Time magazine named Schwarzenegger one of the top 100 influential individuals in the world between the years 2004 and 2007. Schwarzenegger began lifting weights at 15 years old. He was awarded the Mr. Universe title at 20 and then the Mr. Olympia title seven more times. He is widely recognized as one of the top bodybuilders of all time, and has written numerous articles and books on bodybuilding.The Arnold Sports Festival, considered the second-most important bodybuilding event after Mr. Olympia, is named after the legendary athlete.
