Sarah Shahi

 Sarah Shahi was born Aahoo Jahansouzshahi on January 10, 1980. She was raised in Euless Texas. Her parents are Abbas Jahansouzshahi (an interior designer) and Mahmonir Soroushazar (an interior designer). Her father is an Iranian. Her family emigrated from Iran two years before the Iranian Revolution. Her father, who worked in the American Embassy in Iran was set to be executed in 1979. However her mother was able to leave the country. Samantha is a production assistant, and Cyrus is an older brother. Aahoo is her Persian name (Persian: Ahw), is Persian meaning "gazelle". Shahi took on the name Sarah in the second grade. She was a victim of the song Sarah and was "tormentedby children over Aahoo the name she was born with. She was taught Persian as well as English upon the request of her father. When she was eight years old, Shahi was entered in beauty contests through her parents. Shahi attended Trinity High School and Southern Methodist University. She was also a part of Alpha Chi Omega while she was at SMU. In 1997, Shahi was crowned Miss Fort Worth. She was a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (1999-1900) team, even though she had never previously cheered. Then she relocated to Los Angeles.
