Sara Rue is an American actress. She is famous for her performances as Carmen Ferrara on Popular, as Claude Casey on Less than Perfect as well as Attorney General on Idiocracy. In 2011, she hosted The CW reality series Shedding for the Wedding. She had a recurring role in the comedy Rules of Engagement, in which she played Brenda, the softball teammate and good close friend of Jeff Bingham. Also, she was a regular on ABC's popular sitcom Malibu Country as Kim, and she was in the main cast for Impastor, a TV Land comedy series Impastor. Her character as Olivia Caliban on the second season of A Series of Unfortunate Events is well-known. Rue also appeared in the main cast of the T.V. Land comedy series Impastor. Rue was a star in Little Egypt, a stage musical that she performed in with Jenny O'Hara, Gregg Henry, and French Stewart at the Matrix Theatre, Los Angeles. As Berta's youngest child Rue was the guest star on Two and a Half Men. For three seasons, she played Leonard Hofstadter's friend and was Dr. Stephanie Barnett on CBS's sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Her first appearance on the show took place on November 17, 2008. Rue was seen in For Christ's Sake and Man Maid the two films of 2009.
