 Salma Hayek Pinault, /'haIek/HY-ek;[2] Spanish-born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jamesenez (born on 2 September 1966(born on September 2, 1966) [3][4][5]] is an American and Mexican actor and producer. Her professional career began in Mexico in the telenovela Teresa, where she was a lead in the television series Teresa (1989-1991) as well as the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995) that brought her an Ariel Award nomination. In films like Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999), Dogma (1999), as well as Dogma (1999), Hayek quickly made her mark as a leading actress in Hollywood.
