Melissa Marie Benoist (/b@'noIst/ born October 4, 1988)[2][3] is an American actress, singer and producer. Marley Rose was her first major role on Fox's musical comedy drama Glee in which she was an ongoing series regular during the fifth season. Her first major role was as Marley Rose on the CBS and CW superhero series Supergirl (2015). The show also had her as a series regular in the fifth season. On the Paramount Network miniseries Waco (2018) she played the role of the wife to cult leader David Koresh. On stage, Benoist made her Broadway debut in 2018 as Carole King in the jukebox musical Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.
