 Jennifer Shrader Lawrence was born August 15, 1990. Her films have earned over $6 billion worldwide to date. Lawrence was also the highest-paid actress of 2015 and in 2016. Lawrence was one of the 100 most influential people worldwide in 2013 according to Time. She also appeared on the Forbes Celebrity 100 List from 2013 until 2016. Lawrence also performed in church musicals and school plays throughout her childhood. She was fourteen years old when she was spotted by a talent scout from New York City while on vacation with her family. After making the move to Los Angeles, she began her acting career in guest roles on television. She was a lead participant in The Bill Engvall show (2007-2009). It was her first role in a major capacity. Her debut film role was an actor in the action drama Garden Party (2008). She then made her acting debut on Winter's Bone (2010), as a poor teen. Lawrence rose to stardom in the role of Mystique as a mutant in the X-Men series (2011-2019), and Katniss Everdeen (2012-2015) in The Hunger Games series. This made her the top-grossing action heroine of all time. Lawrence received various accolades for her three collaborations with filmmaker David O. Russell. Her role as a troubled young widow in the romance film Silver Linings Playbook (2012) was rewarded with the Academy Award for Best Actress, making her the second-youngest winner in the category at the age of 22. For her role as a feisty wife in American Hustle (2013), she was awarded the BAFTA Award in Best Actress in a Supporting Role. Lawrence was also awarded the Golden Globe Award for the films, as well as her performance as Joy Mangano who is the businesswoman in Joy (2015). After a series of mixed reviews and media scrutiny over her performance she took a brief break from acting. After the streaming films Don't Look Up (2021) and Causeway (2022) She returned to acting.
