DJ Envy

 DJ Envy was born in Queens, New York City. He was taught and mentored by a neighbor acquaintance DJ Clue [4] who introduced him to the mixtape music scene in the mid-1990s. To help him succeed in the field of disc jockey DJ Clue took Envy under his wing. He was hosting commercials and exclusives for Jay-Z and 50 Cent by the early 2000s. After that the signing, he signed with DJ Clue’s record label Desert Storm. He released his debut studio album, The Desert Storm Mixtape, Vol. DJ Envy's most notable breakthrough came in 2003 when the DJ was on Hot 97's "Takin' it To the Streets" show. Angie Martinez hosted the show from 12:00 till 4:00 AM. Martinez later took over hosting duties after Martinez was pregnant. [5] He then co-hosted Hot 97's morning show along with Miss Jones from 6 am-10 every day at 6 am. His run on the morning show ended in July of 2008 after Miss Jones moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Hot 97's DJ Envy hosted his own mix show called "The People's Mix" Saturdays from 12:00pm to 22:00pm and "The People's Choice Hit List Sundays from 5:00pm to 8:15pm. Hot 97 featured a segment named "New at 2", during which he played his newest songs from 2:00 to 22:30. He hosts the afternoon show of Hip-Hop Nations on Sirius XM Radio on weekdays from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm EST. on weekends, he would present an hour-long show from 2:00 pm to at 6:00 at night on Power 105.
