Alison Doody

Doody was approached by a photographer, and she began to model and eventually, it resulted in a job as commercial models. Doody avoided any glamour or naked work. This clause was also extended to her acting career. [citation needed] Having come to the attention of the director of casting for a new James Bond film, she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. John Willis' Screen World, Vol. 12 listed Doody as one of the top New Actors 1986. 38. Still only 19 when she played the part, Doody was - and remains - the youngest Bond girl to have appeared in the film. [3] Doody was also in a small part as Siobhan Donovan, one of the IRA member, in A Prayer for the Dying (1987), starring Mickey Rourke. Doody was also a non-speaker as the wife of Archibald Crawven, Lilias in his dream in the 1987 television adaptation of The Secret Garden. Doody first appeared as Sapsorrow in an episode of Jim Henson's fantasy show The Storyteller in 1988. Then, she played opposite Dawn French, John Hurt and Jennifer Saunders in the film Taffin (1988). Then, she took the most well-known role of her career to date as Elsa Schneider, Austrian Nazi-sympathiser and archaeologist in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. The film also featured Sean Connery as Indy's father; Doody has acted alongside three actors (Moore, Connery, and Brosnan) who have portrayed James Bond.
