Dove Olivia Cameron, born Chloe Celeste Hosterman on January 15th, 1996) is an American actor and singer. Her double role as the characters named for her in the Disney Channel comedy series Liv and Maddie was recognized with the Daytime Emmy Award in Outstanding Performer in Children's Programing. Cameron continued to work for Disney Channel, and she portrayed Mal in Descendants (2015-2021). In 2016, Cameron starred in the NBC live-television musical Hairspray Live!. In the stage, from 2018 to 2019, she played the role of Cher Horowitz in an off-Broadway production of the 1995 film Clueless In 2019 she made her debut on the London stage with her portrayal of Clara Johnson in the musical The Light in the Piazza. Cameron also appeared in Vengeance (2022) the film that is a comedy-thriller. In 2019, she made her stage debut on the London stage as Clara Johnson. She was the lead singer on the soundtrack album for Liv & Maddie (2015). In the same year she released her debut single "If Only" that was featured in the soundtrack album of Descendants, the album topped the US Billboard 200, and was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) In addition, she performed on two soundtrack albums for Descendants : Descendants 2, Descendants 3 (2017-2019). Her debut musical release, Bloodshot / Waste, was released in 2019. The singer released "Boyfriend" in 2022. The track was a commercial hit and climbed to the top 20 of the Billboard Hot 100. It was also certified platinum by RIAA.
