Robert Pickering Burnham, born 1990 was an American comedian from the United States. He's also a musician, songwriter and actor. Burnham's comedy often is a blend of sketch, musical, and stand-up elements. He was an established YouTube popular in the latter part of the 2000s. He gained fame in the decade of 2010 with his subversive comedy and satirical stand-up. Burnham released four comedy albums and three comedy-themed specials through Comedy Central Records: Words, Words & Words (2010) Then What?. (2013) and Make Happy (2016)--created and performed on the MTV mockumentary series Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous (2013) as well as published his poetry collection Egghead: Or You Can't Live on Ideas All by Yourself (2013). He announced a career shift to a comedy-focused career in 2016 before writing and directing his critically popular drama film Eighth Grade (2018). He has directed comedy specials for other comedians. He also appeared in the Academy Award-winning comedy Promising Young Lady (2020). Inside was released by Netflix to wide acclaim. The film was nominated for Outstanding Directing for Variety Special, Outstanding Music Director, Outstanding Writing for Variety Special and Outstanding Directing. In the 64th Grammy Awards, Inside was nominated for Best Music Film and Best Song Written for Visual Media winning the award for the latter. The special featured three songs that were certified as gold by the United States Billboard and the accompanying album, Inside (The Songs).
