Anil Kumar Gupta Anil Kumar Gupta, an Indian scholar is an expert in the field of grassroots innovation. He was the founder of the Honey Bee Network. In the year 2017, he resigned from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad as an instructor. He also served as the executive vice-chairman of the National Innovation Foundation. He is also an honorary Fellow of the World Academy of Art and Science. In 2004, he received the Padma Shri for his contribution to the field of management education. He also designed programs for students at the Indian Institute of Management in Ahmedabad. Shodh Yatra (meaning "research walk") was one of his most sought-after courses. Students in management were taken across the country to meet with local communities and study their systems of knowledge. The concept of walking across the country and engaging with traditional farmers, knowledge holders and students, grassroots innovators and many others was the inspiration for the development of this program. The course began in Gujarat which is a western Indian province in the month of May 1998.
