American actor Christopher Robert Evans was born June 13, 1981. His acting career began in 2000, with roles on the television's Opposite Sex. Following appearances in several teens' films, including 2001's Not Another Teen Movie, Evans gained notoriety for his portrayal of Marvel Comics character, the Human Torch in Fantastic Four (2005) and Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007). Evans also appeared in films based on graphic novels and comics: TMNT (2007), Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010) and Snowpiercer (2013).Evans received more recognition for his portrayal of Steve Rogers / Captain America in various Marvel Cinematic Universe films, beginning with Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) to Avengers: Endgame (2019). Evans' performance in the series made him one of the highest-paid actors around the globe. Evans also played a role in the drama Gifted (2017) as well as the mystery film Knives Out (2019). His directorial debut came in 2014 with the romance drama Before We Go, which he also produced and starred in. Evans' Broadway debut was in the revival of Kenneth Lonergan's show Lobby Hero. He received an Drama League Award nomination.
